About Me
Hi, I’m Sylvester
My journey into tech started long before I made it my career. I’ve been fascinated by computers since childhood — always curious, always learning. That curiosity stayed with me when I moved to the United States in 2007. While working in construction and mastering hands-on trades like carpentry, CNC machine operation, plumbing, electrical, and tile installation, I knew my heart was still in technology.
Determined to follow that passion, I enrolled in ESL courses, which paved the way for me to study Computer Operations at LaGuardia Community College. After earning my associate degree in 2012, I continued to pursue my dream, graduating with a Bachelor’s in Computer Systems from New York City College of Technology in 2019.
Today, I’m a Senior Cloud, System & Infrastructure Architect with over 12 years of experience designing, deploying, and managing complex, multi-cloud environments across AWS, Azure, OCI, and GCP. I specialize in infrastructure automation, system security, network design, and cloud scalability. Whether I’m building secure VPN connections, optimizing serverless applications, or mentoring junior system admins — I bring hands-on precision and strategic thinking to every challenge.
What drives me? The fast pace of innovation in technology, and the constant opportunity to grow and adapt. I thrive in solving tough problems, embracing change, and building solutions that scale.
