About Me
Hi, I’m Sylvester
My journey into technology started long before it became my profession. I’ve been fascinated by computers since childhood and always curious about how things work and how they can be improved.
After moving to the United States in 2007, I spent several years working in construction and learning hands-on trades including carpentry, CNC machine operation, plumbing, electrical work, and tile installation. Those experiences taught me problem solving, attention to detail, and the importance of building things correctly the first time — lessons I continue to apply in technology today.
I later earned an Associate Degree in Computer Operations from LaGuardia Community College and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Systems from New York City College of Technology (CUNY). Over the last 15+ years I have built my career around infrastructure, cloud computing, cybersecurity, networking, and data center operations. My experience includes designing and managing enterprise environments across AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), as well as leading infrastructure modernization, security initiatives, automation, and large-scale technology projects.
Today, I work across cloud architecture, cybersecurity, enterprise networking, infrastructure strategy, data center operations, disaster recovery, and technology leadership. I enjoy solving complex technical challenges, building resilient systems, and helping organizations scale securely and efficiently. Technology changes constantly, and that’s what I enjoy most. There is always something new to learn, improve, optimize, or build.
